Mobile Friendly Web Development

The number of people accessing your website from a mobile device is already huge -- up to 50 percent!! And that number will grow exponentially as more consumers buy and use web-capable phones and tablets for everything from reading the news to online shopping. That's why we create mobile responsive websites.

But what if your websites isn't optimized for mobile? If you rely on visitors from search engines, having a mobile friendly site is more important than ever as Google's latest "Mobilegeddon" update gives priority rankings to mobile friendly sites (read details here.)

Is your website mobile friendly? Click here to check your site in Google's mobile friendly testing tool.

If your site doesn't pass the mobile friendly test, we can help by creating a dedicated mobile website or changing your existing website to be responsive.

Dedicated Mobile Website

A dedicated mobile website is a separate website that is built specifically for display on mobile phones with touch-screen functions. If a visitor reaches your main website on a mobile device, they will be automatically redirected to your mobile friendly site. A dedicated mobile website is quick and affordable to implement, but requires you to maintain updates on two websites. It's a great option for static websites that change infrequently.

Responsive Redesign

Implementing a responsive redesign involves changing your existing website to optimize the display on every type of device including desktop computers, laptops, tablets and phones. The actual graphic design of your website (the colors, pictures, etc.) may not need to change drastically, but we will add code and scripts to automatically show/hide specific elements, resize images and change the layout to fit on smaller screens. This option is recommended for larger websites with dynamic data and ecommerce websites.

Which option is right for you?

It really depends on how your existing website is structured. We would be happy to review your project and give you our recommendations for mobile optimization.
